Lubinaalaplancha
This is a delicious Spanish dish featuring grilled sea bass. Here’s a great basic recipe for you:
Ingredients:
- 2 sea bass fillets (about 6-8 ounces each), scaled and gutted
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: paprika, chili flakes, or other seasonings of your choice
Instructions:
- Make sure the sea bass fillets are cleaned and patted dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the filets generously with salt and black pepper. If you like, you can also add some paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.
- If you’re using an outdoor grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If you’re using a grill pan on the stove, heat it over medium-high heat until hot.
- Brush the grill grates or grill pan with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the sea bass fillets on the grill or grill pan, skin side down.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets. You’ll know the fish is done when it easily flakes with a fork and has a golden-brown crust on the outside.
- Add Garlic and Lemon:
- In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic to the pan or grill and cook until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Place lemon slices on top of the fish during the last minute of cooking to infuse it with citrus flavor. Transfer the fillets to a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot, accompanied by your favorite side dishes such as roasted vegetables, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
- Enjoy your delicious lubina a la plancha!
